With a variety of handy tools<\/a><\/strong> and great services available, it’s never been easier to travel around by public transport. New technology means you don’t have to wait around at bus stops, many buses and trains now have WiFi on board, cashless ticket options and more! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new homes at Desire and Centurion Fields are in a great location for those wanting to undertake trips by public transport, with bus services running along Manston Road.<\/strong> In addition, Cross Gates train station is just a short distance away<\/strong>, accessible by bus, bicycle or foot. This makes it easy and convenient to leave the car at home, whether travelling locally or travelling further afield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cross Gates train station is just a 20 minute journey by foot or 10 minute journey by bus or bike from your new home – with cycle parking spots available at the station. From Cross Gates there are frequent services to Leeds, Halifax, Hull and York, with more local stops along the routes. From York and Leeds, more national connections can be made. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Local Bus Services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are frequent bus services running just a short walk away from the new homes. The closest bus stops are located along Manston Lane – click on the service below to view timetables and route maps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

164 & 165 – Leeds – Cross gates – garforth – selby\/kippax<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The 164 and 165 services stop along Manston Lane and combine to provide a bus up to every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday throughout the daytime, and every 30 minutes on an evening and on Sundays. The services operate between Leeds, Cross Gates, Garforth and either Selby (164) or Kippax (165).
The 164\/165 is operated by Arriva. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

11 – Cross gates – leeds<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Service 11 operates between Leeds and Cross Gates, via Seacroft, once an hour throughout the daytime, Monday to Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the evenings and on Sundays the 11 service is replaced by the 11A, which operates hourly along a circular route between Cross Gates and Seacroft, passing along Austhorpe Road and Manston Lane.
The 11 and 11A are operated by Connexions Buses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

64 – leeds – cross gates – aberford<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Service 64 operates between Leeds, Cross Gates and Aberford, passing along Austhorpe Road and Manston Lane. Services operate every 30 minutes throughout the daytime Monday to Saturday, dropping to an hourly service on an evening and Sunday when buses only operate between Cross Gates and Aberford.
The 64 is operated by First Bus and Connexions Buses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catching the bus or train no longer has to mean fumbling around for change before hopping on to pay the driver or conductor in a rush! There are so many different ways to pay for your journey now that you may feel a little spoilt for choice! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s also important to check that you aren’t paying too much. Whilst paying for single or return tickets is OK for occasional or one off journeys, those who travel more frequently by bus and\/or rail can save some significant cash by choosing monthly or annual passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
